Post-16 spotlight
Commending students for excellent results at A-level.
Yesterday, schools across Creative Education Trust recorded progress in post-16 exam results. While it is impossible to recognise everyone’s achievements by name, a few merit special mention:
Natasha Fyffe, Weavers Academy, Wellingborough, joint winner of the 2018 essay-writing prize, excelled at A-level with a B in English Literature, two A*s in History and the Extended Project Qualification, and two As in Art and Mathematics. Natasha is considering her options to read Comparative Literature at university. Esha Kumari, Weavers Academy, is also deciding where to study at university after achieving two A*s in Biology and the Extended Project Qualification and two As in Chemistry and Mathematics.
Two students at Ash Green School have successfully secured their places to study at Oxford University. Lewis Melvin achieved three A*s at A-level in Mathematics, Physics and Further Maths and, after giving up a family holiday to prepare for his Oxford entry exam, Lewis will be reading Further Maths. Luke Salzman, after attaining two A*s in Mathematics and Physics and an A in Further Maths, will be reading Physics.
