Top scoring A-level mathematicians
Top marks in maths and a place at Cambridge
Two Creative Education Trust sixth formers have scored top marks in Mathematics at A-level and a third is going to Cambridge.
Sanjeet Kaur (pictured above) of Abbeyfield School in Northampton got the highest possible score of 600 out of a possible 600 for Maths. Her combined A-level grades (A* Maths, A* Further Maths, A* Physics) have won Sanjeet a place at Imperial College in London to read Mathematics, against outstanding international competition for this world-class university.
Laura Simmons (pictured below) of Ash Green School in Bedworth (Coventry) also achieved grades A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and is going on to read Mathematics at her first choice university, Exeter, a Gold Standard Russell Group university since 2012. A special Women in Physics award for Laura from Warwick University during her sixth form years entitled her to join an elite team of female physicists from across the UK on a research trip to Genoa.
